Winter wonderfulness

Jade + Sam 28.12.2019

Our last wedding of our first year, and my good golly what a cracker it was! Incredibly beautiful and one heck of a party slap bang in the middle of Christmas. Spirits were high, shapes were wild and the party continued for two cracking days. All captured beautifully by Sally T Photography and Hello There Films. Enjoy!

Anyone that knows us will know, we flipping love Christmas, so as you can imagine we were more than a little bit excited to meet Jade and Sam and hear all about their mega winter wedding plans. With hints to snowy slopes, winter warming homemade tipples and an awesome party band, it was set to be mega and that’s certainly what it was.

Between them and their wonderful mums & dads they crafted everything, including giant foliage chandeliers, which hung dramatically between the beams and over their aisle. Gorgeous copper detailing and stars decorated and there was even a ‘Shotski’ for the bar. (For those not familiar with this genius concept, it involves a ski and a series of shot glasses).

Jade and her wonderful group of ladies got ready in the farmhouse in matching reindeer PJs (loved them!). There was so much excitement, laughter and fizz all around the Christmas tree it was like the most perfect and magical Christmas morning. The bridesmaid then rocked gorgeous red gowns with flower hoops as an alternative to bouquets, while Jade looked absolutely beautiful in the most stunning dress by Willowby by Watters. The detail on the sleeves and the dreamy skirt – just gorgeous!

The ceremony took place in the Lovable Old Barn, reception drinks then flowed downstairs before their meal was served and The Northern House Band had everyone partying till midnight.

Carrying on the celebrations the next day, it was sequins and sparkles all the way as the whole crew came back for round two in the barn. More music, delicious food and festivities followed. The perfect first day of married life if you ask me!

It was proper lush, in every sense of the word as were the guests. There was 120 of them, but it really did just feel like one giant family partying together. And as for Jade and Sam, well they’re two of the most lovely people you could ever meet. They looked incredible and how their beautiful love story filled the Lovable Old Barn was such a joy and absolute dream to be part of.

Plus, to top it all off we got to meet some fab new suppliers too, which made the day even more brilliant. So thank you Mr & Mrs Milton for sharing it all with us and choosing Low Hall The Lakes. Sam said it in his speech and we couldn’t agree more, Jade you’re an absolute legend and Sam you are too.

Hope to see you again soon, mums and dads included! Lots of love xx

Very lastly, a special big up must go to the bridesmaids for nearly clearing us out of Disaronno at brekkie. Heroes.
