TO THE HILLS
Epic hikes, ruthless downhill tracks or take your breathe away wild swimming spots, whatever gets you going, it's all ready to go on your doorstep.
Off the well trodden tourist path up in the North West Lake District, getting away from it all really means getting away. There's some of the most beautiful scenery, peaceful lakes and quite frankly terrifying adventures. Not to mention a whiskey distillery, numerous breweries and some excellent places to eat, from fine dining to fine pub grub.
Buttermere, Crummock Water, Loweswater and Ennerdale are all just down the road making Low Hall the perfect base for hiking, swimming, cycling, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, wind surfing...the list goes on.
If that all sounds a bit too much, find a feast of local independent shops at the quaint town of Cockermouth. From sumptious antiques and stunning interior shops, to an exceptional butchers, gallery, toy store, lovely book shop and all kinds of other local goodies. Or head into Keswick and get all the gear along with some top grub.
And, as we're licensed you can even come home to a beer or bottle of wine in front of the fire.
