Handcrafted autumn fairytale

Bekki + Charlie 28.09.19

When an insanely passionate floral whizzard wants to get married at your place, you get bloomin' excited, as you know it’s going to be something special. And my good golly, it was just that.

Bekki and Charlie, the awesome bride and groom, mum and dad of two beautiful girls and honestly two of the most crazy ass creative people you could ever meet. With Bekki’s vision and Charlie’s craftsman's head and hands, from the flowers, to the tipi, to the guest graffiti board, they made literally everything from scratch and are seriously a dream team to be reckoned with.

The day before the wedding the Lovable Old Barn was transformed into something that resembled Willy Wonka’s factory, but instead of chocolate and oompa loompas there was flowers and family. By the time they’d finished, each table had halo’s of rich and warm hues floating above them, with single stem orchids in their own little vases whimsically twisting out. The thought behind their creation, was that they were having feasting platters, so no ordinary flowers on the table would do and it worked perfectly.

The tables also took on their own warm tones with dark velvets and gold trim starred tablecloths along with napkins folded neatly into stars.

Outside in the woodland, Charlie constructed their wedding tipi. Using the off cuts of the rich fabrics that jewelled throughout the barn, it was then completed with its very own floral crown. Finally hay bales with simple hessian created a theatre around the tipi alter. It looked perfect.

The gorgeous bridal gang all had dried flower crowns and dream catchers instead of bouquets, meaning the girls could keep them forever. Mum of the bride, wore a very cool hat, with stunning flowers clustered at the back. All made by Bekki.

The whole family got ready together, in and out of the bridal suite, with even the pet tortoise playing his part. The bridal bouquet was dreamt up by Bekki and even finished in the morning, by Bekki. It was a masterpiece too and was the notch on the top of her boho rockstar style.

They had their hearts set on getting married in the woods. Come, rain, shine or probably even thunder, the ceremony would have been in the woods. Thankfully for the guests, the sun shone, making the woods glitter with the most dreamy and atmospheric light.

The girls and one very dapper page boy led Bekki and her mum down through the trees to one smitten Charlie. Having booked the Bespoke Ceremony with Cumbria Registrars, the couple were able to make it super personal and even get the girls involved, as the most sumptuous blooms united them in a rose ceremony.

The couple, the kids and their dearest clan then signed the register and said their declarations by candlelight in the library. The guests at this point were led by a saxophonist to the front courtyard ready to shower the new Mr and Mrs Goult with petals.

A beer sampling kinda reception then followed with face painting and crafts galore for the kids, before The Goults headed back to the woods for some pics.

Upstairs Bekki and Charlie shared a table for two slap bang in the middle of everyone. Epic and emotional speeches were said and one hell of a feast was served.

Before the party kicked off team Gault had a quick jaunt up the lane for sunset, making for some pretty awesome shots.

Sadly, we somehow missed the first dance, but from the photos, I'm pretty sure we can safely say it was one to remember, as was the rest of the night.

Charlie and Bekki you are out of this world and it was such an honour to be part of your day and see your creativity & dreams come to life.

Cheers to you, your day and the totally awesome team you make.

Beers soon please!
