Colourful joyous love. June '19

Updated: Apr 15, 2020

We first met the wonderful Polly and Tom when they took the opportunity to stay with us in the guest house, while doing a recky of Lakeland venues as they live in London. We’ve never felt so much pressure poaching eggs! They were so lovely and we really really wanted them to choose Low Hall, as we could totally tell their day was going to be something special. And it certainly was that. 3 minute eggs – god bless you!

With the help of family, the pair dressed and styled completely everything in the barn and even had time to top up the tans on Friday. Impressive stuff. The celebrations properly kicked off on Friday evening with rose and beers in the garden before the guys walked down to local eco cottages and the women stayed in the farmhouse.

Polly’s got her own gorgeous style, which she completely rocked in her elegant and relaxed, stunning gown, while her crew wore shades of green.

Buckets bursting with British grown flowers were delivered by Cumberland Flower Farm, which Polly’s bridesmaids whizzed to work on in the morning of the wedding. Some serious hidden floristry talents popped out and the bouquets were finished with fabulous jewel toned ribbons.

With the summer sunshine teasing to come out, the hay bales were set in position between the farmhouse and the hills. Polly and Tom had booked the Bespoke ceremony with the fabulous team at Cumbria registrars, allowing them to marry in the garden and say their declaration in the library with their witnesses. The sun did shine and and it was simply magical!

Reception drinks on the lawn followed with delicious canapés before a feast of pulled pork in the Lovable Old Barn. The speeches were epic, Tom even made our day and gave us a shout out (yeurggghhh!) Polly pulled a blinder, Polly’s dad even had me balling (not hard but this was almost ugly crying) and the women as well as the guys had everyone gushing. The party started and didn’t bloomin’ stop, even with a cheese toasty dance break.

It was such a glorious celebration, wrapped in so much love and happiness, family and best pals. Not to mention Polly and Tom were absolute legends. Couple crush and a half!

Congratulations all over again you two. We can’t wait to see you for your one year anniversary.
